New for 2012 is the Pro grade Player bat. The bat has scooped flanks to retain maximum size with a feather pick-up. The curved spine creates balanced driving power with a responsive feel.The handle is a traditional oval shape to provide balance and power and the toe is angled to stop feathering from tapping down.

Every Pro Grade Player bat is made using only traditional hand crafted methods, which means each bat is treated individually. Only the best Grade 2 top performing English willow is used (salix alba caerulea) and even the handles are manufactured in England from the highest quality Malaysian cane.

The cleft is expertly shaped using drawknives, spokeshaves, and woodenblock planes and together with the human senses of sight, feel and sound a truly individual bat is the end result. These bats have a teflon coating on the reverse which makes them very hard wearing and totally protected from moisture. Hand sanding with three grades of sandpaper achieves a very high finish on the blade. Finally burnishing the blade with bees wax gives a high gloss finish. The minimalistic, retro stickers complete the look of this classy bat.

An option is available for us to apply a coat of raw linseed oil, a protective face and an additional bat rubber. Please note that all of these options will increase the original dead weight of the bat, but not the pick-up.
